Radical Remission Revisited

In a previous post I introduced Dr. Kelly Turner's ground breaking research published in her book "Radical Remission." Spanning a 10 year period, Dr. Turner interviewed over 250 people with stage 4 terminal cancer who survived against all odds.

Though there were a multitude of things each survivor used during their journey, Dr. Turner's research reveals the 9 things that all 250 survivors used and felt were an integral part of their survival. The number one on that list is nutrition.

The Healing Sanctuary specializes in personalizing nutrition plans to help you meet your health improvement goals. Having said that, some general nutrition guidelines are:

  • Buy certified organic, non-GMO as often as possible
  • Overall diet should be 80% vegetables and fruits (mostly vegetables). Vegetables should be raw or lightly steamed. Limit fruits to 3 servings per day.
  • Limit animal proteins and cooked foods to no more than 20% of your daily intake. If eating animal proteins buy organic, pastured, free-range, wild caught, etc.
  • Eat small meals every 4 hours to maintain blood sugar stability
  • Significantly reduce or eliminate your consumption of dairy, gluten, caffeine, sugary/fatty and processed foods, fruit juices, sodas, alcohol and animal products.
  • Drink 50% of your body weight in ounces of filtered alkaline water daily

A great nutrition resource is Anti-Cancer: A New Way of Life written by Dr. David Servan-Schreiber. THS can help you create a nutrition plan to meet your specific needs and provide coaching to keep you on track. Call us today for a consultation.
